The Destination Nene Valley Management Plan sets out the key objectives for tourism development and marketing over the next 5 years.

A new government support package was recently announced to help small and medium sized businesses recover from the financial impact of COVID-19.
SEMLEP’s Growth Hub will be responsible for allocating these grants in the Northamptonshire, Bedfordshire and Milton Keynes area. Small grants, up to a maximum of £5,000 will be available, although most grants will typically be in the range of between £1,000 and £3,000 – including an allocation of grants in the tourism and hospitality sectors.

As the 2020 Nene Valley Festival has been postponed until Spring 2021, we are working with Nenescape and Heritage Lottery to develop a small grant scheme to support Nene Valley Festival event organisers. To support you as you work towards re-opening and welcoming customers, the ‘We’re Good To Go’ COVID-19 industry standard and consumer mark is now available to provide a ‘ring of confidence’ for businesses, attractions and destinations as well as reassurance to local residents and visitors that clear processes are in place and that as a business you are good to go.
The campaign has been designed to support tourism recovery as businesses get ready and begin to reopen, reassure visitors, build consumer confidence and encourage them to visit responsibly. Know Before You Go is a clear and simple message that compels those intending to travel within the UK, to check before setting off.
We want to recognise the dedication and passion of those working in the tourism industry with an award to an individual who goes above and beyond the call of duty to ensure that our residents and visitors have a great experience in the Nene Valley.
Now the nominations have been received Destination Nene Valley will consider all applications and will choose 3 worthy finalists for the public vote.

The Northamptonshire Heritage Forum is a vibrant and friendly exempla organisation which has been set up to provide support and representation for the benefit of its members. The Forum is run by a dedicated and active volunteer committee with a Chair, Secretary and Treasurer.
The East Northamptonshire Greenway (the Greenway) makes attractive and safer walking and cycling routes available in the heart of the Nene Valley.
The Greenway is being developed in phases, some of which are already completed and others will follow within the next few years. The Greenway Vision map illustrates how it looks now and how it might look in the future.
