The Nene Valley will be recognised as a destination of choice for world class wildlife, it has a connected green corridor for walking and cycling and a flourishing visitor economy that creates opportunities for visitors and residents to enjoy outdoor recreational activities whilst protecting the environment and wildlife. The Destination Nene Valley Management Plan sets out the key objectives for tourism development and marketing over the next 5 years.

The NHS has released guidance for businesses and customers to help explain the new Test and Trace system that is starting on 24 September. Please take the time to read this guidance and be prepared!

You can now apply for a free UK-wide industry standard and consumer mark to reassure your customers that your business adheres to Government and public health guidance.
To support you as you work towards re-opening and welcoming customers, the 'We’re Good To Go’ COVID-19 industry standard and consumer mark is now available to provide a ‘ring of confidence’ for businesses, attractions and destinations as well as reassurance to local residents and visitors that clear processes are in place and that as a business you are good to go.

The campaign has been designed to support tourism recovery as businesses get ready and begin to reopen, reassure visitors, build consumer confidence and encourage them to visit responsibly. Know Before You Go is a clear and simple message that compels those intending to travel within the UK, to check before setting off.

We want to recognise the dedication and passion of those working in the tourism industry with an award to an individual who goes above and beyond the call of duty to ensure that our residents and visitors have a great experience in the Nene Valley.

The East Northamptonshire Greenway (the Greenway) makes attractive and safer walking and cycling routes available in the heart of the Nene Valley.
The Greenway is being developed in phases, some of which are already completed and others will follow within the next few years. The Greenway Vision map illustrates how it looks now and how it might look in the future.
