On the run up to Christmas there are an exciting number of events being held at Nene Park to get Peterborough residents feeling festive!
Christmas Craft Market – Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 November
Our 2019 Christmas Craft Market is bought to you by Craft People This two day craft and gift event, open between 10am and 4pm, will have over 30 stalls with a variety of gifts and Christmas decorations and festive treats.
Christmas Tree Festival
Throughout the Christmas period, the Wildlife Garden, next to the Visitor Centre and Gift Shop in Ferry Meadows will be filled with Christmas trees purchased and decorated by local businesses and community groups. Come along and admire the trees or take part and purchase a tree in aid of Nene Park Trust, email firstname.lastname@example.org
Countdown to Christmas Sundays
On each Sunday in December local bands and music groups will be entertaining our visitors close to the Visitor Centre and Ferry Meadows Cafe. We will also be running craft workshops for both children and adults. Our Elves Workshops will take place in the Discovery Den for our younger visitors, helping them to make something festive to take home, with a different craft each week. Our adult workshops will cover festive activities such as wreath and winter remedy making.
Christmas Holiday Trail
In the Christmas school holidays, collect a trail sheet from our Visitor Centre and then hunt for clues as you walk around Ferry Meadows, remember to return to the Visitor Centre to collect your prize.
Visit our Gift Shop
Located at the Visitor Centre in Ferry Meadows, our Gift Shop is the perfect place to find unusual and exciting gifts this Christmas. Featuring a vast range of fair trade, handmade and sustainable gifts, cards and treats – you may even find a few ‘made with love’ items exclusively crafted by our rangers and volunteers.
