As the sun shines across Northamptonshire and Cambridgeshire, the final weekend of this years Nene Valley Festival continues to offer something for everyone with todays highlights including:
- Live music from across the musical spectrum with The Floyd Effect bringing the music of Pink Floyd to life at the Castle Theatre in Wellingborough, while Nathan Carter brings his high energy band to Northamptons Royal & Derngate theatres as part of his ongoing UK tour. - Anyone looking to explore more of Rushden’s rich history and heritage might want to pop along to Rushden Museum – who are open for visitors between 2-4pm to find out more about the history of the Rushden area.
- There are a number of guided walking tours taking place including a guided Wellingborough Museum Tour from 11am and a guided Blue Badge Tour of Ecton which begins at 2.15pm. Information on both can be found over on our EventBrite page.
- Meanwhile anyone looking to enjoy the last remaining days of the sunshine might want to head along to the Nene Wetlands at Rushden Lakes where the team from the Wildlife Trust will be hosting a Bat Walk from 8pm this evening, or Stanwick Lakes where you can try your hand at fishing for the first time, with a hands on workshop taking place from 10am.
