Day five of the Nene Valley continues to throw up a variety of options for anyone looking for something to do today. Most notably among todays offering:

  • Why not enjoy the sunshine and head out for a stroll along the Nene Valley Trail? Available From 10am to 4pm; visitors can Enjoy a self-led trail around Barnwell Country Park looking for interesting River Nene Facts! Available at the Kingfisher Café.
  • Those with younger children might be interested in In the Night Garden Live, a wonderful musical experience for the whole family, which opens its doors at Northampton’s Royal & Derngate Theatres. More information including ticket links can be found over here.
  • Anyone with an interest in the Arts and Crafts might be interested in our Lino Printing Workshop which takes place at the Wildlife Trust building at Rushden Lakes from 10am to 4pm where you can find out how to create prints inspired by the Nene Wetlands. more information here.
  • Meanwhile the latest in our tours of guided walking tours sees us visit Higham Ferrers Join us from 1030am for a guided tour around this beautiful market town. The tour lasts around 2 hours and can be booked here.
