Each day throughout the festival we will post daily highlights of some of the key events happening across the festival – both here on the blog and in our podcast feeds as well…
Day two of the festival ramps up the excitement from yesterdays launch event with events taking place all over region again:
- Rushden Lakes plays host to the second annual Heritage Family Fun Day, with historical partners from all over the area joining us to celebrate the rich history and heritage of the Nene Valley. Join us at the waterside from 10am for a day full of activities – including special film screenings at the Cineworld!
- Barnwell Country Park meanwhile hosts its annual Food and Drink festival between 10am and 3pm. An amazing line up of food and drink vendors will be on display along with kids entertainers, live music and more.
- Heritage Open Days continues, which means free access to some incredible locations across Northampton and Peterborough – be sure to check the listings section for full details of all the events happening and remember that in Northampton – you can get between the various parts of the town for free on the fleet of vintage buses in town for the weekend!
- Finally if you’re in the mood for something a little more hands on, then why not head to Sacrewell Farm, where you can explore a range of interesting things to do – not least a workshop on getting started with bread making. Find more info over here.
