Art History Lecture Series: Reduce, Re-use, Recycle: Interventions in Art

25th March, 2022 @ 10:15 am - 12:15 pm

£6

This first series of our new strand of art history lectures themed specifically around events and exhibitions taking place at Abington Park Museum explores different ways in which interventive means have been used in art. Inspired by Hit List, a visual guide to the extinction of animals, an exhibition of works by Tom Van Herrewege running in parallel to this lecture series. ProArtium’s Dr Conny Bailey and Dr Miriam Gill explore themes as diverse as the re-use of material fragments, interventions in the landscape and the place of modern materials and scientific processes in artistic creation.
