Bloomin’ Marvellous: An Exploration of Floral Art Through the Centuries

24th June, 2022 @ 10:15 am - 12:15 pm

£6 – £20

Artists have sought to capture the blooms of nature in all their beauty and decay from earliest times. This art form continues to inspire artists today. Inspired by an exhibition of works by members of the Northampton Botanical Arts Society at Abington Park Museum and following on from last summer’s very popular series on gardens in art, join us for this, our second series of art history lectures in conjunction with Abington Park Museum. Come and explore the changing meaning and use of floral depictions from the Middle Ages to modernity.
