With the news that the UK is now in a recession (the first since 2009), there is an automatic concern for employers and employees alike that redundancies may be made and that staff retention could be challenging. Rachel Mallows MBE, DL
Rachel Mallows MBE is a Northamptonshire businesswoman with over 30 years’ experience in delivering training, coaching, mentoring and business support. Rachel is the founder and Managing Director of The Mallows Company Limited, a Bozeat based business with a regional remit, providing careers guidance to adults and in schools; training, mentoring, project management and consultancy to SMEs and larger businesses of all sectors. In 2015, its inaugural year, Rachel was awarded the Maserati 100, which celebrated her voluntary work for new and young businesses. The Mallows Company delivers the FEAST2 programme supporting food and drink manufacturers in SEMLEP with mentoring, grants and technical assistance.
Rachel is also Director of the Weetabix Northamptonshire Food and Drink Awards (founded in 2009), Made In Northamptonshire, Positive Pathway Alliance and is Chair of Trustees of The Daylight Centre, Wellingborough which supports homeless, rough sleepers and vulnerable adults. She sits on the board of Nenescape Landscape Partnership Scheme and Northamptonshire Surprise and is Patron of The Faraway Children’s Charity.
Rachel was awarded the MBE for her services to Business and Entrepreneurship in the Queen’s 90th Birthday Honours List in 2016 and was made a Deputy Lieutenant for Northamptonshire in the same year.
