Burns Night Supper
22nd January, 2022 @ 7:00 pm - 10:30 pm
£50Are you connected to Scotland? Are you a fan of poet Rabbie Burns? Are you free on 22.1.22? Love eating and dancing? Then this is a Cathedral event for you!
Peterborough Cathedral is preparing to host another of its traditional Burns Night Suppers close to the former burial place of Mary Queen of Scots following her execution at nearby Fotheringhay Castle in 1587. Her body was later moved to Westminster Abbey.
The event includes a three-course meal (with haggis, naturally) complete with the traditional recitations and whisky toasts and will be followed by a ceilidh with a caller and live music. There will also be a bar selling alternatives to scotch!
We are delighted to announce that the famous Cambridgeshire ceilidh band, Frog on a Bike, will be providing the music.
With guests invited to wear a kilt, or something tartan as part of their outfit, this promises to be an evening to remember.
Tickets
Tickets are £50 per person including the meal and whisky for the toasts. You can order a vegetarian option as you book.
Please wear flat shoes for dancing.
* Please note that, as this is a very social occasion, we will ask guests to show that they have been fully vaccinated against Covid 19. We would also like each guest to confirm to us that they have taken a lateral flow test on the day of the event, with a negative result. *
