Check in at 5.30pm and canoes will depart from Canoe2’s base at Rushden Lakes. After a peaceful early evening paddle on the River Nene you will be met back at Rushden Lakes by your Wildlife Trust experts just as the bats are starting to come out. You’ll then be taken on a guided walk of the Nature Reserve as dusk settles. Everyone will have the opportunity to use a bat detector which picks up the ultrasonic frequencies used by bats as they hunt. The event will finish by 9.45pm.
