Free Let’s Fish! – Wellingborough – Learn to Fish sessions – WDNAC

Ever wanted to learn to fish but didn’t know where to start? Join us at one of our free, award-winning Let’s Fish! events.

About this event

Learn to fish with our team of professionally qualified angling coaches. All the bait and equipment is provided, so all you need to do is book in and turn up on the day.

Booking information

Please book one time slot per person. Please arrive no more than 15 minutes before your booked slot. These one-hour sessions are designed for adults and for children from six years old upwards who are interested in trying out a potential new hobby.

Please be aware that although this event is free, if you fail to attend and don’t cancel your ticket you will be liable for a £50.00 administration fee to be charged to you per ticket booked.

Covid-19 Guidelines

If you have Covid-19 symptoms, please do not attend.

Walk ins will not be accepted. If you can no longer attend, please cancel your ticket via Eventbrite or please get in touch with us to allow another budding angler a chance to take part. Social distancing measures will be in place and all equipment will be cleaned in between sessions. Please see latest Government guidelines here.

The Canal & River Trust’s Let’s Fish! campaign is free to attend as part of our work as a waterways and wellbeing charity to help everyone get out, get active and make their lives better by water by learning to fish. You can now support the work our teams do with children and families and make a donation on our website.

National Celebration young people and fishing

This year, the National Celebration will be taking place on the 18th and 19th September, at 2 seperate rural locations in the Midlands. The peg draw for each event will be taking place on Facebook live on 17th September to comply with government guidelines on group gatherings if required at the time.

The 18th September is open to Cadet (aged 7-10) and Youth (aged 16-20) and will be taking place on the Shropshire Union canal in Staffordshire, Shay lane Shebdon ST20 0PX

The 19th September event is open to juniors (aged 11-15) and will be taking place near Bridge 51 on the Shropshire Union Canal in Soudley, Market Drayton, ST20 0BB.
