Gems of History Workshop
5th November, 2019 @ 10:30 am - 3:30 pm
Gems of History Workshop
The use of precious metals and gemstones by the Romans is the starting point for our workshop where we will make beautiful wire wrapped rings.
Next we take inspiration from the Saxon settlers’ love of scroll work and glass beads to make not one but two projects.
Next on the time travelling tour is the medieval period. Let us show you that chain mail is not just reserved for knights of the realm. Turn simple metal circles into something stunning.
Light refreshments will be available throughout the day. The Café in the Visitor Centre will open for lunch.
This is a free event but standard car parking charges will apply.
The venue is Stanwick Lakes and we will email you a few days before the event with details of where to meet.
