Greening Visitor Travel – A Healthy Future For Tourism
23rd June, 2020 @ 11:00 am - 11:45 am

Opportunities and challenges for visitor travel in the light of COVID-19.
Sustainable transport can boost our health, clean our air, widen access and reduce CO2. Right now, many more people are cycling but many fewer are using buses and trains. As tourism begins to reopen, we ask: How can visitor attractions welcome people without cars? How can we stop national parks turning into car parks? How can we chart a greener, healthier way forward?
Our panel will help the debate along and provide insight from their areas of specialism and they are: Prof. Jillian Anable – University of Leeds, Jonathan Bray – Urban Transport Group, Sam Robinson – Love to Ride, Heather Carter – Blenheim Palace.
The webinar will last 45 minutes, including a 20-minute Q&A.
PLEASE NOTE: that this session is 11:00am to 11:45am British Summer Time (10:00am GMT) – if you use the ‘save it to my calendar’ function, it may incorrectly save it as 10:00am GMT.
We welcome your advance questions to hello@goodjourney.org.uk, as well as live questions on the day.
