Online Talk: Oliver Cromwell’s infamous visit to Peterborough
15th July, 2021 @ 7:30 pm - 10:00 pm
£7This is the latest in our series of online history presentations in which Stuart, who’s now curator of the Cromwell Museum in Huntingdon, will unpack the dreadful reality about how the Roundheads created such havoc at the cathedral.
Legend tells that he smashed windows and stabled his horses in virtually every cathedral in England. But in fact it was Peterborough that was singled out for this behaviour.
