Join us for a day of exciting exploration with the Nene Valley Railway Bug Day!

Make your very own clothes peg butterfly, dig through soil and find some new bug buddies, visit the Bug Barn and make some new friends while learning all about who they are and where they’re from. Don’t forget to stop off at the Edible Worm Farm to make yourself a bowl of edible dirt and jelly worms before jumping on the train  for a trip down the Nene Valley, whilst on board you will have some bug related activities on your table. Jump off at Peterborough NV Station and visit Railworld for a Bug Trail! Entry to Railworld is included in each Bug Express Ticket.

Don’t forget to dress in your favourite Bug/Insect, take your photo at our NVR photo station and email it to customercontact@nvr.org.uk to enter our Summer Holilday Family Fun Wednesday’s Best Outfit Competition – The WINNER will recieve a Classic Santa Steam Table for 4 for travel on Sunday 4th Dec 2022 (Ticket is none trasferrable to another date).

Each 3 to 15 yrs Child Ticket will receive a themed gift to take home with them.

You will also find Cheeky Moo Face Painting on Platform 2 at Wansford Station. Each face painted design item will be charged at £3 supplement to ticket cost. Limited themed designs will be available on the day.
