Free entry to the Visitors Centre where our friendly volunteers are on hand to guide and inform you about the history of this fascinating place. On display there are many artefacts which give a wonderful insight into the history of the site and its operations from Napoleonic times to beyond the Second World War.

The walking tour will start at 1pm with our well-informed volunteer tour guides taking you around the site.
