Cathedral Christmas Craft and Gift Market

Timed to coincide with the city's Christmas Lights Switch On, on Friday 15th November, this year's Christmas market will be bigger and better than ever! Set in the beautiful Cathedral Nave and Transepts, this is an inspiring place in which to start your Christmas shopping. Peterborough City Christmas Market

The Cathedral is participating in the City's Christmas Market this year, with traditional market stalls on Cathedral Green joining those in the city centre. There will be gift ideas, alpine chalets and Yuletide food and drink outlets, so come along and experience Christmas in a beautiful setting. The stalls will be open daily. Closing times are Sunday mornings until 12.00 noon, and on Christmas Day and Boxing Day.

Taster Sessions are held at Stanwick Lakes, they last for 45 minutes and will leave you energised and keen to book more! Meet at the Visitor Centre and join in a regular health walk of approximately 45 minutes. a great way to meet new people and be active! Every Tuesday and Thursday at 10am. On each of our Festive Sundays in December and throughout the school Christmas holiday, we have a special trail with a festive themed prize at the end for everyone. Pick up a trail sheet at the Visitor Centre and Gift Shop for just 50p and remember to return to claim your prize! No need to book.

Wild Home Educator Session

Here at Ferry Meadows we will be running 2 hour sessions on the second Monday of every month for home schooled children. Each session will have curriculum and nature focused activities, with each month having a different theme: December 9th  - Natural Art Aimed at KS1. The Stanwick Lakes Wildlife Explorers is an RSPB group lead by volunteers, which provides the perfect location to observe wildlife, make friends and take part in all sorts of practical activities. From bark rubbing to hunting for mini-beasts, its perfect for children aged 5+. Meetings this year will involve time spent outdoors and there’s always the risk of brambles and nettles, so please make sure you come wearing sensible outdoor clothes – warm, waterproof and with wellies, if necessary.
