Nenescape’s Nene Songbook competition extended

Nenescape is running a competition for budding music- and song-writers in the Nene Valley.

After three hugely successful launch concerts in 2017, delivered in partnership with Northamptonshire Music and Performing Arts Trust, with music written by ex-pupil Benjamin Till, local people are now invited to write their own pieces of music inspired by the River Nene to be presented alongside Benjamin’s work. All styles of music are welcome, and music writers of all abilities are encouraged to enter.

Benjamin will choose his favourite piece at the end of the competition after 30 September 2020, and a limited supply of printed copies of the Songbook will be available to entrants. The winning entrant will win a hamper of Nene Valley goodies, including a voucher to put towards a canoeing voucher.

For more information on how to enter, please visit the Songbook page or contact the competition co-ordinator alison@rnrp.org.
