This week on the Nene Valley podcast, our hosts Karen and Ben sat down with Kenneth from the Oundle International Festival for a look at the changes they had to make to this year’s festival in the face of Covid-19.
With visitors unable to make the journey to Oundle to take part in this year’s festivities – the team at the Festival made plans for a unique online event with a number of exciting live streamed events and recitals taking place across the town, to bring a slice of the festival’s unique flavour to a worldwide audience.
In doing so the team were able to provide a number of exciting, unique opportunities to entertain an audience at home, and looking for entertainment.
During the interview Kenneth talks about the practicalities behind delivering such an event and discusses how the experience has shaped the festival’s approach to delivering future events that incorporate a mixture of the live ‘in-person’ events that festival attendees have come to know and love, and virtual online events that can be enjoyed by a wider worldwide audience as well.
