If you follow us on social media or remember the Nene Valley festival from last year, you might remember that there was some extreme weather around the region the last weekend of the festival that caused the cancellation of the closing event for the Nene Valley Festival which was due to take place in Peterborough City Centre.  

Well as disappointed as we were at the time, it made perfect sense then when planning this years launch event of the Nene Valley Festival – to host in Peterborough and give the city its chance to shine in the (hopefully!) sunshine!

The official launch event for this years Nene Valley Festival will take place then on September 14th in Peterborough City Centre.

The event will see a whole host of activities taking place across Peterborough including food and drinks, performers, local vendors and tours of some of the iconic locations in the city centre such as the beautiful cathedral.

Last years launch event in Beckets Park (see photos below) was a huge success and a great way to kick off festivities – we are really looking forward to seeing lots of new faces from across the region at this kick off event!
