Statement from the Destination Nene Valley Partnership:
'Public health is our top priority and we want to reassure you that our dedicated tourism industry is doing everything possible to ensure visitors to the area remain safe.
'We’re working closely with local businesses who are taking all the necessary precautions to minimise the risk with regards to the Covid-19 outbreak. In light of this, many have already introduced special measures such as extra hand-washing facilities and social distancing plans to reduce the risk of infection.
'Visitors can be reassured that the UK’s public health measures are world-leading and the tourism industry is working in close collaboration, following government guidelines to closely monitor this fast-moving situation.
