Dip Into The World Of Dabbling Ducks!
Winter is a wonderful time to see wildlife, particularly for fans of our feathered friends. As the cold grip of the Arctic winter takes hold on the lakes, pools and marshes of Northern Europe and Russia, huge numbers of swans, ducks and geese retreat to the relative warmth of the UK. Our lakes, rivers, reservoirs and coasts are a winter home for an estimated 2.1 million ducks!
Check out the dabbling duck ID guide and enjoy a local walk and see what ducks you can find!
DelapréSchool of Magic
Magical things are afoot at Delapré Abbey this February half term. Enrol your little witches and wizards to take part in spellbinding classes such as wand making, broomstick lessons, potions, Herbology and more. This event is recommended for ages 5+ however younger children are welcome to join in the fun.
Sonic is one of the films out this half term. Can the new Sonic break the curse of the video game movie? Jumanji aside, there aren’t many memorable movies either adapted from, or inspired by, our favourite console games, but Sonic appears to have it licked. The super-speedy Sega icon, who underwent a complete CGI redesign last year, is joined by the reliably rubber-faced Jim Carrey as the maniacal Doctor Robotnik.
