With a variety of habitats including wildflower meadows, woodlands and wetlands, the Nene Valley is one of the most important inland areas for wildlife in England. Internationally renowned for its variety of over-wintering water birds including curlew, lapwing, widgeon and gadwall, the Nene Valley is also home to kingfishers, red kites, otters and grass snakes, so don’t forget to pack your binoculars!
