Unique handmade wooden gifts at Nene Park

wooden items crafted by volunteers

We are excited to be launching a new range of beautiful handmade wooden gifts into the Visitor Centre in Ferry Meadows; all made from wood sourced from around Nene Park and crafted by our dedicated team of Woodcraft volunteers.

The volunteer Woodcraft group meets every Tuesday morning in the Nene Park Trust workshop and gets training and supervision from our master craftsman Gareth Lorman. The team have been making a variety of gifts and household items such as chopping boards, walking sticks, tealight holders, coasters, doorstops and whittled rooster and pheasant ornaments. No two items are the same and are all crafted to suit the variety and grain of the wood found in the Park. Take a look at some of these gifts below.

We’re proud to be offering our visitors some truly sustainable gifts in the Visitor Centre to add to our growing range of eco-friendly products on offer. When you’re next in the Park, pop into the Visitor Centre to browse and purchase a gift.
